DI-NOC Architectural Finishes

DINOC which is 2 words DI (Diurno) NOC (Nocturn) and means “it’s beautiful all day and night”

Things to know:

• The material is tough, durable, cleanable with almost any cleaners without fear of issue and is waterproof…making it excellent for environments subject to liquids or harsh cleaners. It is also bacteriostatic, meaning that pathogens won’t grow on it, a key benefit during this time.
• The material is nominally 8 mils thick, making it 4 times the thickness of traditional vinyl graphic films. Realize, it was first designed for use on automobiles, so it’s tough stuff and it’s actually been around since the late ’40s… so 3M has almost 80 years of experience with these products.
• The material is strippable, field repairable and can be overlaminated in place one time with no ill consequences. The material is tough to abuse…permanent markers wipe off with just an alcohol wipe.
• There are almost 1000 finishes in the line, so the design opportunities are incredible. Some finishes may be better than others in your environment (a super light color might show a dried drop of soda, for example) so choosing the right finish for the environment is something that I can assist with.
• In the Pacific Rim, the product is ubiquitous, used extensively both interior and exterior…yes, you read that right. It is highly durable when applied to surfaces like ACM in the exterior environment.
